Even if you are not required to file a tax return, you may still qualify for financial benefits including:
- the Child Tax Credit (worth up to $3,600 per child),

- and/or the Earned Income Tax Credit (amounts vary based on size of family).
To receive these benefits, you must file a 2021 tax return. The deadline for filing for free on the IRS website is November 17, 2022.
