If you’re struggling with consumer debt, MLSA has a tool to help you know your rights. The Montana Debt Options Tool can help you find out if a debt collector could be breaking the law, if you have any protected income or property, and if you have any defenses to a debt lawsuit.
Additionally, you can find and download resources and forms like a Debt Dispute Letter, a Cease Contact Letter, a Homestead Declaration Form, and more. The tool also includes a Garnishment Calculator, which tells you how much money can be taken from your paycheck.
