Montana Indian Law Portal

November is Native American Heritage Month! The Montana Indian Law Portal provides access to tribal law information, including tribal codes, constitutions, treaties, important court decisions, and more. This resource “was developed for Montana’s Indian Nations, for the citizens of the state, and for educators” to “assist researchers in discovering our tribal legal heritage.”

Visit IndianLaw.mt.gov to learn more about laws in each of Montana’s tribes, as well as federal and state resources, criminal jurisdiction, and law enforcement.
