Montana homeowners: you may qualify for a $400 rebate on property taxes paid on your primary residence for the 2024 tax year.
To qualify, you must have:
-Owned and lived in your Montana home for at least seven months in 2024
-Had property taxes (including special assessments and fees) billed on this residence
-Paid those property taxes on this residence
Important: Your rebate may be reduced if you owe money to the State of Montana.
Apply for your 2024 rebate between August 15 and October 1, 2025 at revenue.mt.gov/taxes/property-tax-rebate. You can also find paper forms on that website or call (406) 444-6900 for help.
