The LITC helps low-income taxpayers in Montana with federal tax problems. The LITC will be busy during tax season. Check out the list of events below where the LITC will provide information about its services and/or provide help with federal tax problems.
Need tax filing help? The LITC does not help prepare taxes for filing but some of the events below include basic tax preparation help from IRS-certified volunteers. Read on for more information:
- February 6 – Super Saturday Kick-Off Event, Great Falls: 10:00am – 5:00pm; Great Falls Senior Center, 1004 Central Ave (LITC will be available to meet with individuals with tax issues and help them apply for its services; basic tax-filing preparation help will be available from IRS-certified volunteers on a first come, first served basis)
- February 6 – Free Tax Help Day, Helena: 9:30AM to 1:00PM, Lewis and Clark Library, 120 S. Last Chance Gulch (LITC will be available to meet with individuals with tax issues and help them apply for its services; basic tax-filing preparation help will be available from IRS-certified volunteers on a first come, first served basis)
- February 10 – Federal Tax Problems Office Hours, Crow Agency: 10:00am – Noon, Location TBD (LITC will be available to meet with individuals with tax issues and help them apply for its services. It may be able to provide advice and representation)
- February 10 – Federal Tax Problems Office Hours, Lame Deer: 2:00pm – 4:00pm, Blessed Sacrament Parish Church, 630 Cheyenne Ave (LITC will be available to meet with individuals with tax issues and help them apply for its services. It may be able to provide advice and representation)
- February 13 – Welcoming Vietnam Veterans Home, Lame Deer: Noon – 4:00pm, Lame Deer High School Gymnasium (LITC will provide information about its and MLSA's services. Please note that the LITC will not be able to provide any tax help during the event)
- April 25 – Helena Tax Court, all day (LITC will meet with individuals with tax issues who are on the Court’s docket (schedule) and may be able to provide advice and representation to them.
- April 28 – Billings Tax Court (Small Tax Cases), all day (LITC will meet with individuals with tax issues who are on the Court's docket (schedule) and may be able to provide advice and representation to them.
