The Sample Foundation, a private family foundation located in Billings, has granted $10,000 to Montana Legal Services Association to help purchase a reliable, safe vehicle for legal aid advocates to reach rural, remote, and Native American clients. MLSA attorneys serving remote clients frequently drive anywhere from one to 12 hours, longer in winter, making a reliable vehicle a necessity for providing advocacy.
With Sample Foundation support, MLSA casehandlers can safely travel to ensure rural Montanans have fair access to our justice system, help domestic violence survivors and their children start new lives, assist to preserve their incomes, and help tenants and homeowners stay in their homes. MLSA has great gratitude toward the Sample Foundation for enabling it to continue to serve its clients through this gift.
